After helping solve the very strange case of a Vietnam-era pilot caught up in a cosmic disruption in time and space as described in the author's novel Convergence (ISBN 1419661515), Professor Roger Atwood and Amanda Marshall are off on a new quest.
In 1947, Colonel Dieter Hedrick was a young lieutenant serving in the Public Information Office at Roswell Army Air Field, New Mexico. As one of the last surviving witnesses to the strange events that occurred in July of that year, he calls upon investigative reporter, Amanda Marshall, to tell his story of the Roswell Incident.
Upon hearing the Colonel's compelling, yet incomplete, account of the events that occurred more than sixty years ago, Amanda enlists the assistance of Professor Roger Atwood to settle the issue once and for all. Were we really visited by aliens? Was there a government cover-up? In this fast-paced novel based on the often-told story and speculation surrounding the Roswell Incident, the author presents a startling alternative explanation for one of the most controversial events of the last century.
Publisher's Note This book includes content previously published in the novel, Convergence at Roswell, now out of print.

This is an entertaining and engaging story by an author with a creative mind and great potential. The story kept me turning the pages right to the end.
However, I was kind of irritated to discover that many of the chapters were just filler and had absolutely no purpose other than to increase word count.
The author has developed a very believable time-travel theory along with related explanations for historic events. Also, he really does a good job of taking you back in time to experience history.
The story could have benefited from more development of the character relationships. This would make the story more interesting from the human perspective and would negate the need to "pad" the word count. I also feel there were some interesting developments in the story that were not explored and should have been.
I hope this author continues to hone his skills. As for this book, I recommend it - just skip the chapters about Texas.

Roswell 1947 Thomas Settimi 9780615829173 Books Reviews
I always enjoy reading books about alternative histories, time travel, and first contact with aliens.
An excellent read. The author develops a surprisingly believable account of the 1947 Roswell Incident and the conspiracy theories that follow. It's fiction, but contains a lot of interesting history plus science that is well-explained. This book is a sequel to the author's title CONVERGENCE, so some details of the story may seem unclear if you haven't read the previous book.
This book is not nearly as good as the first book, Convergence. It seems rushed and is too easily figured out. There are no real twists or turns, and the revelation seemed like he was just in a hurry to finish. I guess the convergence event is different than in the original work, and that limits development. I was very disappointed.
Far out tale, Texas seceeding?
As above ,plus a intereting version of the Roswellevent ,you will pass a few phleasent hours reading Roawell 19 47 .Bill Starke Australia
Enjoyed the book. Was a very fast read that was hard to put down. Would recommend this book to any UFO fan.
Thought this was going to be a re-hash of all of the nonsense printed before.. omg! NOT! The author has done his research.. and then.. wrote a very fun, fast and exciting thriller of fiction! Outstanding!
The story weaves together three timelines.. one from a very nosy reporter and a friend trying to discover what a dying soldier's last confession may have revealed.. before he is murdered.. as the reporter sits quietly outside the room.. unaware of what is happening. 1982 - a young jet flyer is talked into committing an act of espionage.. only to have fate step in.. and change his life forever. 1947 - What REALLY happened at Roswell!? Kudo's to the author! I look forward to reading many more novels!
The ending.. was a major shocker!
